Every move, in realtime

ScaleZoom in and out with the anchor exactly where you want it. Pick the point the clip scales from, set how far it travels on each side, and shape the move with its own curve.
SlideEnter and exit from any of eight directions. Each side carries its own distance and easing, so a clip can push in from the left and drift out the bottom.
SpinRotate in and out around any of nine anchor points. Dial the rotation per side and pair it with a curve — a small nudge on the way in, a full whip on the way out.
DissolveA clean fade in and out, timed to the clip length so you never touch a keyframe. Set how long each side takes and give it its own easing.
AspectReshape the frame in and out for a punchy reveal. The aspect opens or closes on your chosen anchor, with independent control over the in and the out.

Motion blur and animation speeds

Every move runs through the same timing controls, so the animation reads the way a real camera move would. Add motion blur to sell the speed, then set how fast each side plays and how it accelerates.

  • Motion blurBlur the movement itself, scaled to how fast the clip is travelling. Fast slides and whip spins stop looking stepped.
  • Animation speedSet the in and the out separately. A quick snap in and a long slow exit is two numbers, not two sets of keyframes.
  • Custom curvesLinear, Easing, or Custom per animation, with separate Ease In and Ease Out so you shape both ends of the move independently.

How do I install it?

Double click SN Animate.drfx and relaunch DaVinci Resolve. It shows up under Effects, in the SNF Plugins group, as SN Animate. Drop it on any clip and adjust it in the Inspector.

Does it work with the free version of DaVinci Resolve?

Yes. It works with both DaVinci Resolve (free) and Studio, on macOS and Windows.

Do I need to set keyframes?

No. Every move is timed to the clip length automatically. You pick the animation and the curve, and it handles the timing for you.

What animations are included?

Five, each with its own in and out: Slide (8 directions), Scale, Spin (9 anchor points), Dissolve, and Aspect. Combine them freely.

Can I change the easing?

Yes. Each animation has its own curve (Linear, Easing, or Custom) plus separate Ease In and Ease Out controls.

Will it change my footage?

No. It is an Edit-page effect applied to the clip. Remove the effect and the clip is exactly as it was.
